Bubble tea is a tea beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. The term "bubble" refers to the tapioca balls in the drink. These chewy tapioca balls, or "pearls" are consumed along with the beverage through a wide straw. Bubble tea is especially popular in many East Asian and Southeast Asian regions. More recently it has become very popular in America and Canada and is now spreading rapidly in the UK and into Europe. 
Giant tapioca balls the size of small marbles or 'cool cubes' sit on the bottom of the cup and complete the cold variety of this drink. The tapioca bubbles/cool cubes have a consistency somewhere between jelly and a fruit gum. Come and sample our different flavours...
